Atetegeb Gashaw (10) with her sister Taneta (3) & her friend Fereda Mulugojain (14) all live on the streets. They spend their day begging from 5.30 am until 7pm.
Atetegeb and Taneta are trying to support their sick mother and their other siblings. They often have her money stolen by older children on the street.
Fereda ‘s parents are dead, and she has no family in Bahir Dar. “I have relatives, but I don’t not know where to find them “. She too spends her days on the street begging to keep herself alive.
